Wetland Reserves

The Wetland Reserve Program (WRP) currently protects over 3.5 million acres of wildlife habitat on privately owned land in the United States, but the growing of grain crops for waterfowl is generally not permitted.  Moist soil management for the promotion of native seed-bearing grasses is what is generally required, and is also a well documented way to provide both seed-grain and crustacean food sources to waterfowl and other wildlife.  Unfortunately, proper moist soil management requires advanced skills that many landowners don’t have, and it is also time consuming, labor intensive and inconvenient.  By allowing experts to pre-program the water management process, then monitor and control it remotely, the AutoRiser greatly enhances the food producing capability on WRP acres while removing nearly all of the work and skill required of the landowner.
